			<title>SQlab | ION Limited Edition

Ergonomic precision meets progressive trail DNA</title>
			<link>http://www.press-service.info/sqlab-en/article/pressreleasestexte/12</link>
<description>SQlab and ION, both part of the Bike Division of Boards &amp; More GmbH, combine ergonomic precision with progressive trail design in a limited edition. The 611 ERGOWAVE® Infinergy® active 2.1 ltd. ION saddle meets the 7OX 2.0 Pro ltd. ION grips, featuring a matching ION design, to bring together two key contact points between rider and bike into one coordinated setup. As with all SQlab products, this system is based on individual fit: the correct grip size and saddle width are selected according to hand size and sit bone distance. The result is an ergonomic connection to the bike that equally supports comfort, control and efficiency.

Two brands, one trail perspective
The Limited Edition unites the core strengths of both brands. SQlab’s focus on ergonomics and individual fit meets ION’s progressive trail DNA and distinctive design language. Inspired by the flowing lines of mountains and trails, each product features a unique color pattern, giving every piece a slightly different appearance and making each one a true one-off. This collaboration allows both brand identities to merge into shared products, combining technical performance with a clear trail-driven aesthetic.

611 ERGOWAVE® Infinergy® active 2.1 ltd. ION
Manufactured in Germany, the 611 ERGOWAVE® Infinergy® active 2.1 ltd. ION saddle is tuned for MTB and trail use, delivering an efficient and comfortable climbing position along with confident control on demanding trails. The foundation is SQlab’s saddle width concept, in which saddle width is selected based on the rider’s sit bone distance. This ensures the sit bones rest securely on the intended support area, maintaining efficient power transfer while pedaling. The distinctive ERGOWAVE® shape stabilizes the seating position, while the central recess provides additional relief for sensitive areas. The concept is complemented by SQlab’s active technology, which allows controlled lateral movement of the saddle and follows the natural pelvic motion during pedaling. The padding made from Infinergy® material provides elastic support with high rebound. Even on long rides or challenging trail stages, the riding feel remains precise and comfortable.

7OX 2.0 Pro ltd. ION grips
The 7OX 2.0 Pro ltd. ION grips are designed for an active riding style on the trail, offering direct feedback and precise control in technical sections. Their ergonomic shape stabilizes hand position and supports high gripping forces, while the integrated Ergobar provides clear finger orientation and enables a consistent, reproducible grip position. Available in three sizes, the grips allow for an individual fit based on hand size. A soft, tacky rubber compound ensures secure grip in both dry and wet conditions, while delivering targeted damping where it is needed most in trail riding. Different texture zones optimize grip and damping across key contact points.

Design meets function
Visually, the Limited Edition picks up ION’s progressive design language: a marbled black, grey and white finish combined with a purple clamp. The color scheme visually connects both products into a coordinated MTB cockpit and highlights the shared signature of the two brands.

Available now
The limited SQlab x ION Edition is available now, combining two central contact points between rider and bike into one coordinated trail setup – ergonomically precise, technically functional and visually distinctive.

<title>SQlab Sends a Strong B2B Signal With The iQlab Training Tour
Around 1,000 specialist retailers – ergonomics becomes a strategic consulting tool</title>
			<link>http://www.press-service.info/sqlab-en/article/pressreleasestexte/11</link>
<description>15 locations across Germany, around 1,000 participants: the 2026 iQlab training tour by SQlab clearly demonstrated the growing importance of expertise in the specialist retail sector. In a saturated market with a high level of product comparability, the focus is shifting from pure product features toward structured consultation, transparent reasoning, and solid expertise.

The tour was perceived by participating retail partners as a training and knowledge-sharing format rather than a sales event. The opportunity for personal exchange among retailers was highlighted as a particular added value. In-person formats continue to be regarded as especially valuable in terms of quality, particularly when it comes to practical classification and concrete implementation in day-to-day sales.

Changing demand in everyday retail

One of the central topics discussed was the shift in customer demand. Retailers increasingly report customers using bikes for everyday mobility and commuting. Comfort is being differentiated more strongly according to usage scenarios, particularly in the urban and short-distance segment. In this sense, the training also served as direct feedback from the market: ergonomics is no longer interpreted exclusively in a sporting context but is increasingly understood as a holistic approach for different areas of use.

Ergonomics as a key factor

In specialist retail, ergonomics has long since moved beyond being a niche topic. Most participants already possessed a solid basic understanding. However, what is increasingly required is less detailed product information and more clear argumentation tools for customer conversations. Measurement is increasingly used as a structured entry point into the consultation process. It creates transparency, objectivity, and facilitates product recommendations. Practical tools such as POS materials and bike stickers were particularly well received, as they enable easy implementation in-store. Retailers are looking for concrete solutions rather than theory.

Digitalization with economic considerations

With Smartfit, digital measurement was firmly integrated into the training concept. The response was consistently positive. Digital analysis tools are seen as a meaningful way to make consultation more interactive and easier to understand. At the same time, the level of investment remains a relevant factor. Digitalization is welcomed but evaluated from an economic perspective. The connection between measurement results and specific product recommendations offers further potential.

Know-how, expertise, and consultation

The 2026 iQlab training tour illustrates how ergonomics in specialist retail is evolving from a technical product feature into a structured consultation tool. In a market with high product comparability, know-how is increasingly becoming the key differentiator. Expertise becomes currency – and consultation the decisive added value in stationary specialist retail.

<title>SQlab Future-Proofs Its Sales Structure and Intensifies Cooperation with Specialist Retailers

Closer to the specialist trade through clear responsibilities and a strengthened field sales
presence</title>
			<link>http://www.press-service.info/sqlab-en/article/pressreleasestexte/10</link>
<description>At the start of the year, SQlab is taking a consistently forward-looking approach: with a targeted development of its sales and service setup, the ergonomics specialist is intensifying its personal support for specialist retailers. The goal is to simplify processes and further strengthen direct exchange through dedicated contact persons for the trade.

Structured Cooperation for Greater Efficiency

At the core of the new sales structure is the close interaction between field sales, internal sales and back office. Clearly defined interfaces in the cooperation between “SQlab as manufacturer/supplier &amp; specialist retail partners” ensure that responsibilities are unambiguous and processes run smoothly – from the first point of contact through to ongoing support in day-to-day business.

Strong Field Sales Presence with Dedicated Contacts

A key element of the new direction is the strengthened field sales presence with dedicated contact persons assigned to clearly defined postal code regions. André Künne, responsible for the South West/North-West team, covers the postal code areas 4, 5, 6, 7, 32 to 37as well as 86 to 89. Daniel Loris is responsible for the postal code areas 9, 30, 31,38, 39 as well as 80 to 85 and serves as the contact for the South-East team. The postal code areas 0, 1 and 2 are covered by Jens Uhlig, who supports the North-East team and Key Accounts. Personal on-site appointments and direct exchange are at the heart of cooperation with specialist retailers.

Transparent Responsibilities – Clear Communication

Thanks to the transparent allocation of regions and contact persons, retail partners always know who to reach out to. At the same time, the internal sales team ensures fast response times and reliable support for retailers. With this optimized sales structure, SQlab underlines its commitment to being a dependable and service-oriented partner for specialist retailers. Shorter communication paths, clear responsibilities and personal support form the foundation for successful cooperation throughout the year.

<title>SQlab and Smartfit: Ergonomics as a Measurable Sales Argument at the Point of Sale</title>
			<link>http://www.press-service.info/sqlab-en/article/pressreleasestexte/9</link>
<description>Ergonomics has a growing influence on buying decisions, trust, and conversion at the point of sale. Together with Smartfit, SQlab takes the next step by integrating a structured, digitally supported ergonomics consultation directly into specialist retail. The aim of the cooperation is to turn ergonomics from an abstract, explanation-heavy topic into a clear and comprehensible sales argument in-store.

Ergonomics: From Nice-to-Have to Decision Factor

What is difficult to assess online becomes a key strength in specialist retail: personal consultation, measurement, and direct use. Ergonomics is no longer an added benefit – it directly influences purchasing decisions, confidence in brand and product, and the likelihood of closing a sale. This is where the SQlab–Smartfit partnership comes into play.

Smartfit × SQlab: Digitally Supported Consultation

SQlab’s ergonomic consultation is based on defined measurement and decision processes. Smartfit can optionally support this approach by digitally capturing, structuring, and visualising body data, movement profiles, and usage information, and translating them into suitable SQlab product recommendations. For customers, this results in a transparent and comprehensible consultation process. Retailers achieve reliable, high-quality results with SQlab’s measurement and consultation concepts even without Smartfit. The digital workflow complements the process by increasing clarity and efficiency without replacing personal advice.

Added Value for Specialist Retail

Measurement, consultation, and test rides are closely linked at the point of sale. Measuring the contact points provides a structured entry into the consultation and supports needs-based product selection. A systematic ergonomic consultation creates transparency and credibility and has a positive impact on the overall advisory and decision-making process.

Practice and Know-How: iQlab Training Tour 2026

The collaboration launches with the iQlab Training Tour 2026. In 15 cities across the German-speaking region, more than 1,000 retailers and industry partners will be trained. The focus is on practical ergonomics fundamentals, in-depth product understanding, and the application of digital measurement and analysis tools in everyday retail. Together, Smartfit and SQlab establish a consistent consultation framework for specialist retail and a sales experience that makes ergonomics understandable, measurable, and directly applicable.

<title>Two winter worlds, two saddles: SQlab combines sportiness and comfort
Ideal companions through the holiday season – for indoor training and everyday riding outdoors</title>
			<link>http://www.press-service.info/sqlab-en/article/pressreleasestexte/8</link>
<description>Whether it’s indoor training or daily rides through winter conditions, SQlab offers two saddles perfectly tuned to the different demands of the cold season: the 612 ERGOWAVE® active 2.1 for intensive indoor sessions and the 602 ERGOLUX® active 2.1 for comfortable everyday and commuting rides outdoors. While efficient positioning is key indoors due to the more static posture on the trainer, stability, comfort, and a relaxed riding position matter most outside. Together, these two models cover the typical winter riding scenarios – and also make thoughtful gifts under the Christmas tree.

Sporty winter focus: the 612 ERGOWAVE® active 2.1

The 612 ERGOWAVE® active 2.1 is designed for road and mountain bike riders who prefer a forward-leaning, powerful riding position. Its wave-shaped ERGOWAVE® profile and pronounced raised rear support a stable pelvic position and efficient power transfer – a clear advantage during intensive indoor sessions and structured winter training. The lowered nose and central relief channel create more freedom in the front area and support a sporty position without pressure peaks – suitable for both women and men. Thanks to SQlab’s active system, the natural movement of the pelvis is maintained. This results in a dynamic pedaling motion and can reduce strain on the lower back. On the trainer, where the body has less freedom to move, this added mobility contributes to a more comfortable riding experience. Lightweight yet highly shape-stable, the 612 is aimed at ambitious riders who don’t want to compromise on performance, indoors or out.

Comfort-focused mobility: the 602 ERGOLUX® active 2.1

For commuting and longer everyday rides outdoors, the 602 ERGOLUX® active 2.1 is the right choice. Its generous, two-step ERGOLUX® contour provides a wide, even contact area and a calm, comfortable seating feel – ideal for upright to moderately forward-leaning riding positions. Especially in everyday use, where many riders are on the bike without dedicated cycling apparel, the stepped shape delivers noticeable comfort.
The two-step design offers a stable seating surface at the rear, while the lower saddle nose at the front provides additional relief. This helps distribute pressure more evenly and keeps everyday riding comfortable. The active system can be adjusted in two stages, with the switch lever allowing for quick and easy setup. Outdoors, the subtle lateral movement follows the natural riding motion and supports a pleasant seating feel on longer routes. The saddle is complemented by integrated threaded mounts for the SQlab saddle bag with Fidlock® adapter.

A strong duo for the cold season

Together, these two models form a well-balanced package for winter’s varied demands: sporty efficiency indoors, comfortable mobility outdoors. The 612 shows its strengths not only on the trainer but also performs reliably outside, while the 602 is specifically designed for everyday routes and longer outdoor rides. With the 612 ERGOWAVE® active 2.1 and the 602 ERGOLUX® active 2.1, SQlab delivers ergonomic solutions that support riders throughout the entire season – whether the focus is on building performance or relaxed commuting.

<title>Saddle and Shorts: SQlab presents new products for gravel adventures
Ergonomic and functional – the perfect duo for asphalt, gravel and everything in between</title>
			<link>http://www.press-service.info/sqlab-en/article/pressreleasestexte/6</link>
<description>Gravel riding means freedom – and that starts with the right equipment. Whether endless gravel roads, mixed terrain or long days in the saddle: with the 614 ERGOWAVE® active 2.1 S‘Qantara, SQlab has created a saddle that blends comfort, stability and control. Its signature ERGOWAVE® shape with its wave-like contour distributes pressure evenly and relieves the sensitive perineal area. This supports a stable sitting position, saves energy and promotes efficient pedaling – especially on long, demanding routes. A fitting match: the SQ-Shorts ONE14.

More dynamics thanks to active technology

With SQlab’s active technology, the saddle moves in sync with the natural pedaling motion. This reduces friction and allows the pelvis to move more freely – a noticeable comfort boost, especially on long rides.

Premium cover with an Alcantara-like feel

The new S‘Qantara cover combines grippy touch, breathability and a refined matte look thanks to its ultrafine polyester fibers. Even in heat or humidity it stays comfortably temperate and provides reliable support – ideal for any kind of gravel adventure. The SQlab 614 ERGOWAVE® active 2.1 S‘Qantara is available in five widths from 12 to 16 centimeters and retails at €159.99(RRP).

A perfect match: the SQ-Shorts ONE14

To complement the gravel saddle, SQlab introduces the SQ-Shorts ONE14 (€219.99) – designed for riders who demand both performance and comfort. At their core is the SQ-Pad 14, a
multi-layer ergonomic chamois featuring an integrated TPE layer that minimizes shear forces and pressure without restricting movement. With just 6 mm of height and a particularly high foam density, it distributes pressure evenly and helps maintain a dry, comfortable feel – even on long-distance rides.

Functional, comfortable and sustainable

The high-performance fabric sourced from Italy offers targeted compression for muscle support, while remaining lightweight, breathable and quick-drying. Wide straps and a ventilated mesh back keep the shorts securely in place, while non-slip leg cuffs and practical thigh pockets add stability and functionality. Made in the EU and supported by a repair service, the SQ-Shorts ONE14 stand for quality, durability and conscious cycling.

With the 614 ERGOWAVE® active 2.1 S‘Qantara and the SQ-Shorts ONE14, SQlab delivers a perfectly matched gravel duo – ergonomically refined, built to last, and made for riders who don’t measure freedom, but experience it.

			<title>7OX 2.0 Pro
The ultimate grip for Downhill &amp; Gravity
</title>
			<link>http://www.press-service.info/sqlab-en/article/pressreleasestexte/5</link>
<description>The latest generation of the 7OX grip - the Pro 2.0 sets new standards with improved rubber compound and new grip design to reduce arm pump and increase comfort. The changes to the 7OX 2.0 grip result in improved ergonomics, better form fit, precise grip and secure feedback in every riding situation.

A perfect fit
the grip is now available in three sizes. They differ in diameter and shape to guarantee a customized fit. The right size is not only crucial for comfort, but also for safety and full control on every ride.
EMG study: Arm pump while Mountainbiking
Less load with a SQlab grip-handlebar combination: The well-known problem of arm pump is always present when mountainbiking. If the muscles of the forearm are tensed for a longer period of time, coupled with rapidly recurring impacts and vibrations caused by braking waves, rooty surfaces, etc., the blood flow in the blood vessels is reduced, which can lead to insufficient blood flow to the muscles and a loss of strength. SQlab used electromyography, acceleration sensors and grip force measurement to investigate the influence of the cockpit on the loss of strength. Based on the results, a new TPE compound was developed for the 7OX 2.0 Pro grip to provide more cushioning and control and prevent arm pump.
The data shows clearly that different handlebar/grip combinations and different sections of the trail activate the muscles differently. This places different demands on the material. These findings helped us to develop the new, softer rubber compound and improve the ergonomics of the 7OX 2.0 Pro.

			<title>This is the difference
 Ergonomics is our DNA
</title>
			<link>http://www.press-service.info/sqlab-en/article/pressreleasestexte/4</link>
<description>Every ride is different— even when the route stays the same. It’s not just about the miles you cover, but how you feel along the way. That’s why we don’t believe in standards. We believe in you. In your movement, your anatomy, your ride. We measure you so your bike adapts to you —not the other way around. After 20 years of research, we’ve learned that true comfort isn’t just a feeling—it’s engineered. Engineered to push further, ride longer, and feel better with every pedal stroke. Because we know that improving every minuscule detail, results in maximum performance. This is the difference.

Ergonomics is our DNA
At SQlab, we rethink cycling – from the rider’s perspective. Because anyone who wants to ride longer, healthier, and with more joy needs products that fit perfectly.
That’s why we develop ergonomic solutions for every contact point on the bike: hands, pelvis, and feet. Whether on the road, trail, or during daily commutes – our goal remains the same: maximum performance, noticeable comfort, and lasting prevention.
At the heart of it all is our intelligent sizing system. By precisely measuring the three key contact points and tailoring product concepts to individual needs, cyclists find exactly what fits – helping them boost their performance and avoid discomfort or injury.
To ensure this ergonomic approach is reflected not only in our products but also in the customer experience, we regularly and thoroughly train our dealer network. This way, our customers benefit from expert advice and dedicated support – right where they need it most.

This is the difference
At SQlab, we don’t believe in guesswork. Every innovation starts in the Lab – the heart of our research and development. Here, science, biomechanics, and cuttingedge technology come together to redefine the riding experience. We measure. We analyze. We optimize. From pressure mapping to extensive field testing, every product is backed by data and designed with ergonomic precision. The SQlab Lab is where riders’ needs meet science, ensuring that comfort, performance, and health are not just promises, but proven facts. But innovation doesn’t stop with technology. It’s about rethinking cycling ergonomics from the ground up. Every curve of a saddle, every millimeter of a grip, every design decision follows one simple principle: it has to work better – for every rider. The SQlab Lab is not just a place. It’s a mindset. A commitment to making cycling healthier, more efficient, and more enjoyable. Because when science meets cycling, you feel the difference.

			<title>710 2.0
Shaped by science. Crafted for comfort.
</title>
			<link>http://www.press-service.info/sqlab-en/article/pressreleasestexte/3</link>
<description>The 710 2.0 from SQlab is part of our new grip series, which is characterized by a unique concept: Three-dimensional growth. The grip combines comfort, control and ergonomics - developed for sporty and comfortable riding positions with high demands on ergonomics and performance.

The ideal all-rounder
The SQlab 710 2.0 is the ideal companion for sporty and comfortable touring cyclists, everyday cyclists and relaxed trails - developed for rides that demand ergonomics, control and suitability for everyday use. It offers the noticeable relief and comfort of a wing grip - without restricting dynamics or freedom of movement on the trail. This means it also works reliably on rougher passages.
Three-dimensional growth
The 710 2.0 is part of our new generation of grips, in which not only the grip range varies for different hand lengths - but also the grip length for different hand widths and the size of the wing. This means that the grip adapts precisely to the size of the hand. The contact surface grows proportionally to provide targeted relief for the ulnar nerve and prevent discomfort such as numbness - without compromising on shock absorption or handlebar clamping
3D-Ergonomics
Grip range, length and wing size grow with the rider - for a noticeably better fit and targeted pressure relief. The optimum grip size is determined based on the hand size measurement - for maximum ergonomics right from the start.
Lamellar structure
The large lamellar structure, which extends to the thumb area, provides targeted cushioning at higher pressure, especially on descents and rough terrain.
Ergobar
A slightly flattened bottom that enables a defined grip position - particularly practical in changing riding situations.
Integrated mirror mounting
For even more flexibility when setting up the cockpit.

The flattened areas in the drops ensure a comfortable grip position and at the same time provide a secure hold in various riding positions. This promotes an ergonomic hand posture.
Maximum contact surface
The generously flattened top of the handlebars offers the fingers sufficient space to hold on securely and at the same time improves grip. This enlarged contact surface enables an even distribution of pressure and increases comfort on long rides.
10° Frontsweep
The front sweep decreases towards the end of the handlebars and creates a straight transition from the forearm to the hand. This helps prevent hyperextension of the wrist and reduces pressure points, therefore preventing numbness and fatigue.
Internal cable routing
The option of routing cables internally ensures a tidy and aerodynamic cockpit, which not only improves the look but also reduces air resistance.
Ergobar
This wave-shaped elevation at the bottom of the handlebar creates a flat, slightly angular surface that adapts perfectly to the bent fingers. This improves grip control and ensures a secure hand placement in various riding positions.
Optimized Carbon layup
By optimizing the fiber layup, flexibility is increased and weight is reduced, which contributes to an agile riding experience.
