HOLMENKOL has sought to find an alternative solution for this already quite a few years ago by launching the SYNTEC project, whose purpose was to develop
environmentally friendly ski waxes. The FF wax series resulting from
this project is completely fluorine-free and not only fulfils the
regulations of international skiing associations, but also offers
outstanding water and dirt repellence properties under the ski for
maximum speed on the cross-country ski run. HOLMENKOL is proud
to offer a sustainable alternative that both ensures high performance
and protects the environment. For ambitious sportsmen and
sportswomen, the fluorine-free racing waxes of the Syntec FF wax
series are the ideal solution. Depending on the temperature and snow conditions, HOLMENKOL
offers each of these high-performance waxes in three versions for optimal skiing fun. Since
recently, these have also included the high-performance finish powders FF Powder YLW, RED and
BLU, which have already been used successfully in numerous World Cup races.

This season, HOLMENKOL has completely revised the Ski Tour Wax Stick,
now setting new standards in sustainability. With its new organic formula as
well as the recyclable tube made of FSC-certified paper, the plastic-free Ski
Tour Wax Stick is a top product for all ski tourers. Additionally, the wax stick
can be used to care for all types of touring skins, provides optimal gliding
properties and ensures a long-lasting base – in all weathers. The pocket-sized
stick is extremely easy to use: first, push the base of the wax stick up slightly
with the finger, then apply the wax to the bottom of the skis, and finally work it in with the felt
integrated into the stick. With the Ski Tour Wax Stick from HOLMENKOL, every trip into the snow
becomes an absolute highlight.
Certified organic: the ski waxes from HOLMENKOL
The ski waxes from HOLMENKOL possess a feature that distinguishes them from other brands:
they are biodegradable and bear the organic label, meaning that they are very environmentally

and energy consumption as low as possible. HOLMENKOL sees sustainability as a cycle, as
demonstrated by its use of its own photovoltaics system, which covers the company’s energy

Future project: Infinity Performance
In addition to sustainability, the new HOLMENKOL project "Infinity Performance" also promises
great things for the future. This innovative technology offers extremely high abrasion resistance
and was developed over an 18-month period. The products, which were tested intensively by the
in-house development department and the HOLMENKOL World Cup racing team, have already
been used at the very highest level at the World Cup. This process ensures that the new product
line meets HOLMENKOL's high quality standards. Business Director Fleischmann emphasises: "I
am convinced that with the newly developed Infinity Performance series, HOLMENKOL is bringing
products onto the market that meet all needs at the highest level."
