HOLMENKOL is specialist for sports coatings and oldest ski wax manufacturer in the world. The company has registered over 20 patents and is represented in more than 50 countries. One of the milestones in company history was the development of the colour system for waxing depending on snow qualities and temperature. The 3-shot is legendary today. Since the 1960s, HOLMENKOL has established itself as a specialist for chemical sports coatings and sells ski wax, cleaning and care products to all renowned ski manufacturers. Care products for functional textiles and shoes such as waterproofing agents and special detergents are today an important business area. Since 2012, HOLMENKOL GmbH has been fully owned by Sporto-med, itself part of the Eimermacher Group (Nordwalde), which currently has over 200 employees. Sporto-med is a family-owned business specializing in physiotherapy, sports medicine and health.
