the hand-handlebar interface can be effectively reduced. In addition, the handlebar tape is now available in Black and Sand as part of a color update.
SQlab 714 Handlebar Tape – Comfort, grip, and ergonomics for long gravel days
With the 714 Gravel handlebar tape, SQlab targets riders who prioritize comfort, control, and individual adjustability over long distances. The proven product is now available in new color options: Sand and Black. At its core is a micro-vibration-absorbing intermediate layer that reduces stress on the hands, forearms, and shoulders. Internal studies and measurements show that, compared to conventional solutions, the tape absorbs more vibrations and noticeably calms the ride feel. In rebound testing, the 714 handlebar tape achieved up to 45% lower rebound values, while real-world riding tests showed vibration reductions of up to 14%. At the same time, pressure peaks at the hand-handlebar interface were reduced by up to 24%. A grippy diamond texture ensures secure hold in all riding situations. The SQlab sizing system allows individual adjustment of wrapping thickness via three nub rows, tailored to hand size and preferred ride feel. With a length of 2500 mm, the handlebar tape is suitable for gravel handlebars of various widths.
Ergonomic Setup, perfectly complemented: SQlab 314 Gravel Handlebar
The SQlab 314 transfers the ergonomic principles of road handlebars into the gravel segment, combining compact geometry with a high level of control. A 25 mm rise enables a more upright riding position, while a 14° flare enhances control off-road. The front sweep from 10° to 2° supports a natural hand position and relieves strain on the wrists. Its geometry incorporates findings from pressure distribution and hand support research, including studies on hand nerve loading. An ergonomic bar underside and enlarged support surfaces provide additional comfort and promote even pressure distribution. In combination with the 714 handlebar tape, the result is a well-balanced and cohesive cockpit.
SQlab 614 ERGOWAVE® active 2.1 S‘Qantara – Efficient riding even over long distances
The S614 ERGOWAVE® active 2.1 S‘Qantara completes the setup at the key contact point: the saddle. The ERGOWAVE® shape distributes pressure evenly and specifically relieves the perineal area. This stabilizes the rider’s position and supports efficient pedaling on long rides. The active technology allows a natural lateral movement during the pedal stroke, reducing strain and improving pelvic dynamics. The S‘Qantara cover also provides excellent grip, breathability, and high long-distance comfort.
A Thought-Through Setup for Maximum Gravel Comfort
