On May 12 and 13, ergonomics specialist SQlab welcomed around 40 media representatives and
content creators to the two-day SQlab Experience Days at Hotel Bussi Baby in Bad Wiessee on Lake Tegernsee. The event focused on in-depth product sessions, shared riding experiences, and personal exchange around ergonomics, innovation, and cycling.
Product deep dives and technical insights
Over the course of two days, the SQlab team presented product innovations, technical backgrounds, and developments in ergonomics, performance, and comfort. Detailed deep-dive sessions provided guests with comprehensive insights into development processes, product philosophy, and the scientific principles behind the products. Key topics included seating comfort, cycling ergonomics, and the connection between performance and health. A highlight of the program were expert talks by Dr. Stefan Staudte, co-founder of SQlab and urologist, and Max Holz, Head of R&D at SQlab. Together, they provided in-depth perspectives on pressure distribution, seating comfort, and the importance of the right saddle for both health and performance.
Product testing across MTB, E-MTB, road and gravel
Ergonomics was also made tangible beyond the deep-dive sessions: during group rides on mountain bikes, e-mountain bikes, roadbikes, and gravel bikes, participants tested various setups in real-world
conditions. The diverse terrain around Lake Tegernsee offered ideal conditions and created memorable experiences both on and off the bike.
Personal exchange in a unique setting
In addition to the technical content, the event offered ample opportunity for personal exchange and networking within the bike and media industry. The relaxed atmosphere enabled meaningful conversations between journalists, content creators, and the SQlab team. The exclusively booked Hotel Bussi Baby in Bad Wiessee provided the perfect setting, combining a modern location with a distinctive atmosphere. Guests consistently gave positive feedback on the venue, its ambiance, and the team’s hospitality. The culinary offering was equally note worthy, with high-quality catering and a shared evening program rounding off the two days.
“Direct exchange with media and content creators is incredibly valuable to us. It was important for us
not only to present our products, but also to make the ideas, development work, and passion behind
them truly tangible,” says Gregor Lazarides, Head of Marketing SQlab / ION Bike Division.
With the Experience Days at Lake Tegernsee, SQlab once again underscores its close connection to
media, community, and the industry, while creating space for personal interaction, professional discussion, and shared experiences around ergonomics and cycling.
