New SQlab Grip Generation: Ergonomics for Trekking, MTB and Off-Road Riding

01.07.2026With its new grip generation, SQlab consistently advances its proven ergonomic concept. The new 702 2.0, 710 2.0 and 7OX 2.0 Pro models have been developed for different areas of use, but all share a common goal: greater comfort, improved control and optimal pressure distribution between the hand and the handlebar. At the heart of the new range is the innovative three dimensional sizing system. Rather than adjusting only the grip circumference, grip length and ergonomic support surfaces are also proportionally adapted to different hand sizes. The result is a more precise fit, more even pressure distribution and significantly enhanced comfort on the bike.
The New 3D Sizing System
The new grip generation is available in sizes S, M and L. Circumference, length and support surface increase proportionally with hand size, ensuring an individual fit, greater control and noticeable relief for the hands and joints.
702 2.0 – Comfort for Trekking and Touring
The 702 2.0 has been specifically developed for trekking and touring riders.Its ergonomic wing-shaped design raised outer edge and integrated ribbed structure provide even pressure distribution and outstanding comfort on longer rides. The Ergobar, compatibility with Innerbarends® and mirror mounting options complete the concept.
710 2.0 – The Sporty All-Rounder
The 710 2.0 combines the pressure-relieving benefits of a wing grip with the freedom of movement of a sporty MTB grip. Thanks to the three-dimensional scaling of grip circumference, grip length and support surface, the grip adapts optimally to different hand sizes. This enhances comfort, control and targeted relief of the ulnar nerve, both on tours and on more demanding trails.
7OX 2.0 Pro – Maximum Control Off-Road
The 7OX 2.0 Pro has been developed for trail, enduro and gravity riding. A new soft-compound rubber mix, revised ergonomics and a new grip pattern improve control, comfort and feedback. The raised outer grip area, diamond texture and optimised index-finger dip ensure a secure hold in every riding situation. In addition to black, the grip is available in orange, turquoise and sand.
Scientifically Developed
Like all SQlab products, the new grip generation is based on extensive laboratory testing and real-world field testing. For the 7OX 2.0 Pro in particular, findings from EMG measurements, grip force analyses and pressure mapping were incorporated directly into the development process. The result: reduced strain on the hands and forearms, greater comfort and effective support against arm pump.
