    SQlab and Smartfit: Ergonomics as a Measurable Sales Argument at the Point of Sale

    Ergonomics has a growing influence on buying decisions, trust, and conversion at the point of sale. Together with Smartfit, SQlab takes the next step by integrating a structured, digitally supported ergonomics consultation directly into specialist retail. The aim of the cooperation is to turn ergonomics from an abstract, explanation-heavy topic into a clear and comprehensible sales argument in-store.

    Ergonomics: From Nice-to-Have to Decision Factor
    What is difficult to assess online becomes a key strength in specialist retail: personal consultation, measurement, and direct use. Ergonomics is no longer an added benefit – it directly influences purchasing decisions, confidence in brand and product, and the likelihood of closing a sale. This is where the SQlab–Smartfit partnership comes into play.

    Smartfit × SQlab: Digitally Supported Consultation
    SQlab’s ergonomic consultation is based on defined measurement and decision processes. Smartfit can optionally support this approach by digitally capturing, structuring, and visualising body data, movement profiles, and usage information, and translating them into suitable SQlab product recommendations. For customers, this results in a transparent and comprehensible consultation process. Retailers achieve reliable, high-quality results with SQlab’s measurement and consultation concepts even without Smartfit. The digital workflow complements the process by increasing clarity and efficiency without replacing personal advice.

    Added Value for Specialist Retail
    Measurement, consultation, and test rides are closely linked at the point of sale. Measuring the contact points provides a structured entry into the consultation and supports needs-based product selection. A systematic ergonomic consultation creates transparency and credibility and has a positive impact on the overall advisory and decision-making process.

    Practice and Know-How: iQlab Training Tour 2026
    The collaboration launches with the iQlab Training Tour 2026. In 15 cities across the German-speaking region, more than 1,000 retailers and industry partners will be trained. The focus is on practical ergonomics fundamentals, in-depth product understanding, and the application of digital measurement and analysis tools in everyday retail. Together, Smartfit and SQlab establish a consistent consultation framework for specialist retail and a sales experience that makes ergonomics understandable, measurable, and directly applicable.
